yum yum.. hmm… ok so how did this cook blog thingy came up ?? i made tehri yesterday .. tehri ?? pulao but with vegetables..
and chaitra wanted to know how to make it … so here i go .. .. how to make a 5 mins tehri ?
Ingredients:
- 1 onion – finely chopped
- 1 tomato – finely chopped
- 1-2 green chilies – finely chopped
- 1 cup soya bean nuggets
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1/2 table spoon oil
- 1/2 spoon dhania Powder (coriander Powder)
- 1/4 spoon red chilli (optional)
- 1/4 spoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 spoon garam masala
- 1/2 spoon jeera (cumin seeds)
Procedure:
- Take the oil in a pressure cooker; add cumin seeds to it when it gets a lil hot
- Add green chilies and chopped onion when the cumin seeds get golden brown
- Add turmeric powder, dhaniya powder, chilli powder, garam masala
- Add chopped tomato (and vegetables if u want to) when the onion looks golden brown
- Now add rice and soya nuggets and water
- Add salt to taste
- Close the cooker and cook for 10 mins.
Have ur 5 mins tehri with dahi (yogurt). please tell me if u know a better method.. or if i can do something else..
